Mini Knitted Globe Pattern
This Mini Knitted Globe pattern is perfect for making keyrings and uses up small amounts yarn. The globe is knitted in the round over double pointed needles.
This mini knitted globe is part of my Knitted Solar System Pattern, so if you buy that design it is included. If you just want to make a little earth, then just buy the mini pattern separately.
It’s hard to know what to knit for people sometimes, so I would recommend giving one of these to someone who loves to travel.
Or give one to someone who cares about the environment! As a bonus, it’s a great gender neutral gift, so you can give it to everyone.

13 sts x 18 rows = 5 x 5 cm (2 x 2 in) over St st using 3 mm (US 2.5) needles or size needed to obtain stated gauge
Sizing
One size: 4 cm (1.5 in) in diameter
Special Stitches
Pick Up Left (PUL) Increase
Use your left needle to pick up the left side of stitch that is two stitches below the stitch on the right needle. Slip this stitch onto your left needle. Knit it through the back of the loop. Also known as a Left Lifted Increase. (See blog post)
Pick Up Right (PUR) Increase
Use your right needle to pick up the stitch that is one stitch below the stitch on the left needle, lift this stitch and slip it onto the left needle. Knit it through the front of the loop. Also known as a Right Lifted Increase. (See blog post)

Inspiration
In 2017, when I first started launching my designs I began with all the cosmic and space related designs that had captured my imagination.
One of the first designs to ever be added to my Ravelry store was my Medium Knitted Globe Pattern. Once I had created that design I wanted to create a smaller version, so the Mini Knitted Globe was born!
Then I wanted to create an even bigger one, so I later made my Large Knitted Globe design.
